The Bridge Outreach Church

The Bridge Outreach Church meets every Sunday, beginning August 30th, 2009, from 2pm to 4pm, in the Christ Community Church building located at 329 Riverside Avenue in Charlottesville, Virginia. (Please see the map and directions below.)

VISION

At the Bridge Outreach Church, we recognize God as the highest authority, above every other ruler or power. Our first calling is to honor God as the leader and example for our lives, by His grace and strength.

MISSION

As we live by the truth of God’s Word, the Bible, we help each other achieve the day-to-day goal of having stronger marriages, families, and relationships. We reach out to meet the needs of those around us. We also let our community know that God’s mercy is not just for some, but for all who will seek Him.

Directions to 329 Riverside Avenue, in Charlottesville, Virginia:

From Route 29
Turn onto Rio Road East across from Hardee’s. Travel about 3.5 miles through five traffic lights and along the curvy road which turns into Park Street. Turn left onto US 250 Bypass East. Travel 0.7 mile, and take a right at the first traffic light onto High Street. Travel 0.25 mile, and take a left onto Meade Avenue. (This could be easy to miss; it is just past “Jak 'N Jil’s” Restaurant on the left.) Continue on Meade Avenue approximately 0.4 mile; then turn left onto Chesapeake Street just before the traffic light. Go straight through two stop signs, then turn left onto Riverside Avenue just before the bottom of the hill. Go over two speed bumps, and the entrance to Christ Community is just ahead on the left.

From Interstate 64
Take Exit 121 (Charlottesville), then travel on Route 20 towards Charlottesville. Go about one mile and turn right onto Carlton Road. Travel on Carlton (which will become Meade Avenue) for 0.8 mile. Go through the intersection with Market Street, and then turn right on Chesapeake Street. Go straight through two stop signs, then turn left onto Riverside Avenue just before the bottom of the hill. Go over two speed bumps, and the entrance to Christ Community is just ahead on the left.

From the 250 Bypass
Take the 250 Bypass West to the traffic light on High Street, just before the bridge over the Rivanna River. Turn right onto High Street. Travel 0.25 mile, and take a left onto Meade Avenue. (This could be easy to miss; it is just past “Jak 'N Jil’s” Restaurant on the left.) Continue on Meade Avenue approximately 0.4 mile; then turn left onto Chesapeake Street just before the traffic light. Go straight through two stop signs, then turn left onto Riverside Avenue just before the bottom of the hill. Go over two speed bumps, and the entrance to Christ Community is just ahead on the left.

From Main Street
Travel on Main Street past “the Corner” towards the Downtown Mall. At the four-way intersection/Lewis & Clark statue, go “straight” onto Water Street. Continue on Water Street for 0.7 mile which will bear left and become 10th Street. At the traffic light, turn right onto Market Street. Travel 0.4 mile, and turn left at the light onto Meade Avenue. Take the first right onto Chesapeake Street. Go straight through two stop signs, and then turn left onto Riverside Avenue just before the bottom of the hill. Go over two speed bumps, and the entrance to Christ Community is just ahead on the left.
